JOB TITLE:  Account Supervisor

 

SUPERVISOR:  SF, Managing Director

 

 

SUMMARY: The Account Supervisor (AS) is responsible for the relationship between the agency and one or more clients, as well as getting new business/clients for the agency. The AS will generally look after client needs through direct contact, liaison, and the marshalling of agency resources. The AS will be the key, day-to-day agency representative to the client and will maintain a highly responsive service orientation in all transactions. They must be knowledgeable in both the client’s business and the agency business. The AS supervises Account Manager (AM) performance with accounts, and reviews all strategic decisions formulated by various operating departments before they are delivered to the client.

 

 

The AS reviews all creative concepts to confirm whether they meet strategic goals before they are delivered to the client for initial approval. The AS is responsible for keeping regular contact with all accounts of the agency at a high level, with significant support from a Vice President. The AS is responsible for sales and profit for their accounts.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Establishes and meets annual and monthly sales goals

 

·         Maintains direct, day-to-day, senior level client contact and supervises 1 or more key accounts.

 

·         Manages job-level and account-level profitability of business

 

·         Works in a proactive manner to provide the client with thought leadership and strategic guidance, determining the best solutions to fulfill the needs of the client.

 

·         Responsible for directing the activities of Account Manager and Project Manager to ensure proper agency service to clients, including trouble shooting ongoing employee challenges (HR issues, internal team communications, training).

 

·         Maintain a superior level of knowledge in all aspects of direct marketing, particularly data analytics and the value it brings to our clients.

 

·         Writes Job Launch Briefs and distributes to AM

 

·         Analyzes client input, together with background knowledge to direct the internal Rauxa team

 

·         Provides AM, Creative, Production, and Data personnel with well-documented input, support data, and production materials as required

 

·         Manages client budget and communicates changes to client

 

·         Keeps appraised of all relevant client products/services/marketing developments

 

·         Coordinates and authorizes quotations for client approval

 

·         Reviews all proofs and sign-offs with client and ensures the information is accurate and that client approval gets to production department

 

·         Effectively presents, sells, and defends all agency work/proposals to clients. Supports other client service team members in same;

 

·         Actively seeks additional projects/new business from client contacts and prospects

 

·         Makes sure projects are delivered to clients on time and on budget and of a high standard or excellence

 

·         Conducts annual performance reviews with AM

Education/Experience Required:

 

·         Strong sales, production, data and marketing background

 

·         BA/BS Marketing or Communication degree preferred (or equivalent experience) with 2 years applied experience

 

·         Preferred experience in multiple direct marketing channels such as direct mail, internet and direct T.V.

 

·         Agency experience desired

 

·         Client based experience desired – Must have Financial Services specifically Home Equity

 

·         Minimum of 6 years related industry experience
