JOB TITLE: Copywriter
SUPERVISOR: Executive Creative Director (New York)
SUMMARY: Responsible for the copy development of Direct Mail, Emails, Online Media and Microsites. Take briefs and work with the account service and creative strategy teams to refine direction if required. Develop and execute concepts through rounds. A team player who enjoys creative collaboration, finds innovative and creative solutions and works well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the creation, conceptualization and copywriting of campaigns and projects for any and all of the agency’s clients;
- Work closely with in-house Art Directors to develop creative concepts;
Skill Set/Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of strategic direction;
- Strong understanding of direct marketing principles;
- Must have Direct Response, Direct Mail and Web experience.
- Excellent conceptual and copywriting skills;
- Highly organized with an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and simultaneously handle multiple projects with total accuracy and attention to detail;
- Work well as a team player in a flexible, dynamic and fast-paced environment;
- Excellent visual and verbal communication skills;
- Highly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude.
- Telecomm and Financial Services (Credit Cards) experience a plus.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Journalism, English, or equivalent degree in related field;
- Minimum of 5 years experience as direct marketing copywriter;
- Wide ranging portfolio focused on direct marketing campaigns with a strong print emphasis including conceptual and copy expertise.
